Egg donation and Family History?

I am interested in egg donation. I am 99% sure I won't be eligible because my mother died of lung cancer in her late 40's. Otherwise, there is no cancer in the family. I just want to be 100% sure this will eliminate me. If I get genetic screening (which is required by the clinics) and the results show no abnormalities/possible cancer in me, can that clear me? Probably not, just wondering! Thanks!!
