Light and dark concrete?

A couple months ago i got the concrete in the front of my house redone. It looked nice when they first did it but now its like darker in some spots and lighter in others. It was rainy for awhile after they did it so i just figure the darker spots were wet or something. But now its sunny and its still blotchy and spotty. Does anyone know what happened?
