Just how long with ordinary Catholics tolerate the dishonesty of the Vatican?

Cardinal Bertone was actually talking about the findings of some psychologists and psychiatrists and added that "there is much doentation from psychologists in this area". So it wasn't a "blatant lie". The Cardinal was merely quoting findings. The reason this was even brought up was because someone raised the question of whether or not clerical celibacy will be abolished during the press conference. In response, the Cardinal said that it has been found that celibacy and ual abuse are not connected, but that studies do show a connection between abuse and ity. He was answering a question. There is no dishonesty here.
