Why do a lot of people think first base is one of the easiest positions?

im a first baseman and it frustrates me that people claim i have one of the easiest positions. i might not be on the hot corner and at ss, but it is plenty difficult. we have to deal with every kind of throw imaginable. we have to pick out of the dirt, and catch everything that comes our way. also, what other position has to chit chat with every single player on the opposing team?
